27 weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 27 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 15 lbs. – 178 total. I got a lecture from my doctor that I need to slow down on the weight gain. I told her I’m enjoying this pregnancy, I walk every day, and I feel great. So in so many words, I said suck it! She wasn’t very happy with me by the end of the appt and wasn’t very friendly like she normally is. That’s what happens when you tell a pregnant, emotional woman that she needs to slow down. LOL!
SLEEP: Still peeing A LOT during the night and fell in the toilet once when Eddy forgot to put the seat down. Yeah, that was a fun night!
MOVEMENT: I’m starting to feel a weird sensation like she’s gliding her elbow or hand along the inside of my stomach. It’s hard to describe but is super weird. It makes me jump every time she does it.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Still chewing on ice and I can’t get enough of carbs.
STILL SICK: Luckily not this week. I was free from any sickness at all…thank goodness
SYMPTOMS: The pain on my right side, restless legs every night, and round ligament pain (mostly on my left side).
GENDER: Girl! My mom sent me some cute Ugg boots for her for when she’s probably about 12 months old. I can’t WAIT to wear mine and have her wear hers. I’m totally going to be that mom that coordinates outfits with her daughter. Totally cheesy but I just can’t help myself.
MOOD: Extremely happy! I’m almost in my third trimester. Woo hoo!!!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Moving. Eddy signed the papers and we move in mid Jan. Of course I’ll be 8 months pregnant and ready to pop soon but I’ll finally get to start on the nursery. Better late than never right?!?!

26 weeks

I've been horrible with posting pics but I'm going to try and catch up today. So much has happened since Halloween. I got the stomach flu 3 times, went back to the hospital for dehydration, took a marriage retreat with Eddy to Cloudcroft New Mexico with the Army, and spent a fabulous Thanksgiving with Eddy's parents (thanks again for making the trip Mom and Dad!!!). Thanksgiving was great. We spent it at the Tubb's house since they were in town as well and ate our hearts out. I made my favorite dish - Sweet Pot Casserole. It's the recipe from Ruth Chris Steakhouse and it's AH-MAZING! Just google the recipe and I promise you won't be sorry. Unfortunately I didn't take weekly pics during all this fun so it skips from Halloween to Thanksgiving.
HOW FAR ALONG: 26 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 12 lbs. – 175 total. I’ve never weighed this much in my life so I sort of freaked out when I saw that number on the scale. It’s only going to go up from here so I better get used to high numbers.
SLEEP: I get up at least 5 times a night to pee. It’s starting to get hard finding a comfortable position and switching positions almost puts me out of breath. Not to mention the restless legs. So sleep isn’t the best right now.
MOVEMENT: I swear she’s doing aerobics in there and getting stronger every day with her kicks. But I love it!
FOOD CRAVINGS: Ice…and lots of it. I chew on ice all day, every day.
STILL SICK: Having the stomach flu 3 times really put me in a depressed mood for a while. I felt like I was back in my first trimester. But luckily each time I got the flu it never lasted more than 4 days.
SYMPTOMS: I get a pain on my right side at the top of my belly. Apparently Lizzy loves hanging out only on my right side so it pulls on those muscles and gives me a burning feeling…like an indian burn on those muscles. I noticed too that you can tell she loves the right side because my stomach looks deformed with my right side sticking out further than my left. It’s funny…
GENDER: Girl! We got her car seat and jogging stroller delivered and I can’t wait to use it!
MOOD: So happy to meet this little girl but so over being pregnant. I really hope these last few weeks go by fast!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Christmas and moving into our new home. It’s taking housing forever so I have no clue when that will finally happen but hopefully soon.

22 weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 22 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: Not sure. I don’t have a scale at home but I’m POSITIVE that I’ve gained at least 10 lbs. with the way I’ve been eating. I’m definitely enjoying this pregnancy.
SLEEP: Not good. I’ve experienced leg cramps, restless legs, back cramps, or just lying in bed staring at the ceiling. During the day I feel like a zombie because I’m so tired. But I’m not complaining. I know this is just all preparation for when the little princess gets here.
MOVEMENT: During our anniversary dinner Lizzy punched me so hard I started choking on my water. Caught me by surprise. Was pretty hilarious though…
FOOD CRAVINGS: Avocado sandwiches. YUM! Can’t seem to get enough. Oh…and flamin hot Cheetos. Considering I never really liked Cheetos before…I think this is weird.
STILL SICK: Once in a blue moon. But I haven’t thrown up in a LONG time
SYMPTOMS: See above in Sleep
GENDER: Girl! I’ve started her closet and she is already set for about two years. I know I need to calm down but the amount of brand new clothes you can get from military families is unreal! Lizzy already has a crap load of Carter clothes and I’ve only spent $60.
MOOD: Extremely happy!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Moving. Should be in the next month and I can’t wait to get her nursery started.

Just some random news….my very deep belly button is now about to be an outie. Kinda grosses me out but I knew it was coming. Also I just noticed today that I can see a light belly line going from my belly button down. So weird

Trunk or Treat

We had SO MUCH fun at the Trunk or Treat tonight. We ran out of candy way quicker than I thought even though I bought 4 HUGE bags from Kmart. I'll just have to remember that for next year. After the candy ran out we walked around and saw all the cute little kids in their costumes. A friend brought her new born baby and I just couldn't get enough of him. Every time I see a little one it gets me more and more excited for our Lizzy!
Thanks to Shelby for making the cutest apron EVER! I originally was going to be an oven but after I tried it on I became so claustrophobic. That's never been a problem until I became pregnant. Now it happens all the time. Ugh! So I bought a super cheap shirt from Kmart, drew The Bun and a skeleton baby on it and Voila!!!! The Bun Maker and The Bun!

20 week ultrasound

This day took FOREVER to get here. I didn't sleep a wink last night and tried keeping myself busy all morning so the time would fly by. Which it didn't, but that's ok. At 1pm we got to go to William Beaumont and see our precious little girl. Unfortunately they don't give you a video and I didn't get very many pics of the experience. But here are a couple from the ultrasound...
Little Lizzy's girlie parts. This is the LAST TIME you will ever see that on the internet. But I had to share :)
Looking down on her face
Lizzy smiling!!! The tech said she is a very happy baby because she was smiling almost the whole time. My heart melted every time I saw her do that.
The tech also said she had her eyes open the whole time. This pic kind of shows that.

After the ultrasound Eddy and I were on cloud 9. I felt like I could see that she is already going to have Eddy's eyes and lips. Our beautiful little girl! So we thought it would be appropriate to celebrate with Baskin Robbins ice cream. New York Cheesecake ice cream and Rocky Road in a sugar cone. YUM!

20 weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 20 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 5 lbs total so far. I’m at 168
SLEEP: I’ve had a horrible cold for the last week so sleep has been non-existent. But this just gets me ready for the sleepless nights with the baby right?!?
MOVEMENT: YES!!! I feel kicks or punches at least a couple times a day.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Carbs are my new best friend. I still love the food from last week. But I’ve added an amazing chorizo, egg, and cheese burrito from this Mexican cafĂ© down the street. They know me by name at this place. It’s like my cheers….wheeeerrrreee everybody knows your name, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, duuuuuuunnnnnn.
STILL SICK: Not really anymore. I haven’t thrown up in forever and I can’t even remember the last time I felt sick to my stomach. I LOVE it
SYMPTOMS: Just sleepy…all the time.
GENDER: It’s a GIRL! Elizabeth Laura Mann is already a very happy baby (according to the tech that said she was smiling during the whole ultrasound).
MOOD: So happy! I finally get to start shopping for the cutest clothes EVER!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: I’m going to start painting the crib and dresser. Can’t wait to move into our new home and organize the nursery. YAY!

Every Best Friends Dream

Turns out my best friend and I are pregnant at the same time. Totally not planned and I think if we even tried to plan this it wouldn't have come out as great as it did. We are literally due a day apart from each other. Biggest bummer ever is that we live 4 states apart. Ugh! But we text like crazy, compare stories, and get advice (more so me getting advice from her since this is her second pregnancy). She just found out last friday that she is having a boy!!!!!! I'm so excited for her and can't wait to meet the little guy. I find out tomorrow what Eddy and I are having. I seriously CAN. NOT. WAIT! This day feels like it is going by so slow!!!!! Here's a few pictures of Jamie and I through the years...I really wish we could take a pregnancy photo together but I'll settle for a picture of us both holding our new babies when I head back out to California next spring.
At Jamie and Collin's wedding - it's all about the gun pose :)
In New Zealand when we went backpacking for almost a month!
Camping at Mt. Whitney. I still have those Care Bear PJ's and wear them all the time!
