37 weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 37 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 43 lbs - 206 total. I never got around to posting for week 35 but at my 35 week appt is when I saw the number 200 on the scale. I just stood on the scale staring at the number. The nurse had to ask if I was ok cause I’m sure I just looked like I was in shock. LOL!
SLEEP: I’m back to no sleep what.so.ever!!!! With peeing, hip pain, hard of breath, contractions, you name it…I probably get around 2 hours of sleep a night. But like I said before this is just boot camp for when the baby arrives. Surprisingly I’ve been ok. I don’t feel like a zombie and I wouldn’t consider myself super cranky. Just can’t sleep. And if you know me…you know I love my sleep so it’s extremely surprising I’m not ripping Eddy’s head off.
MOVEMENT: She mostly just wiggles, I’m sure to the lack of room in there but I never feel kicks anymore. But the past couple days she does the weirdest move…like when you have a great stretch in the morning and your muscles do a quick shake. It feels like she’s doing that. My whole belly just shakes for about 5-10 seconds. Makes me giggle.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Still crunching on ice. I don’t think I’ll ever want to stop. My newest obsession is peanut butter. I want it all the time…morning, noon, and night. Sometimes I just grab the tub and a spoon and have at it.
STILL SICK: Lately I’ve been feeling super nauseous again so I’ve had to munch on some mints to help. But luckily no throwing up.
SYMPTOMS: Hip pain, pelvic pain, contractions, sick to my stomach…and sorry for the TMI of this next one but going to the bathroom every 5 minutes (I’m not talking about pee). But everyone tells me that’s normal towards the end.
GENDER: Girl! Friends have been dropping off more clothes for Lizzy. I doubt she’ll wear the same outfit twice in the first 6 months of her life. I love it!
MOOD: Happy that I can see the finish line and I get to meet our Lizzy Love soon. Nervous for labor. And definitely OVER being pregnant.
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Feeling contractions and knowing it’s time to head to the hospital instead of my body just crying wolf. I realize that my body is practicing for the real thing but I’m just ready for the real thing to actually happen. We’ve rehearsed enough…come on people, I want it to be showtime!

34 weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 34 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 34 lbs. – 197 total.
SLEEP: Getting better. If I walk in the morning and go to the gym at night, I don't get hurtful hips or restless legs. I still have to get up a couple times to pee but it's not as bad as it was last week.
MOVEMENT: Just lots of wiggling. Especially when Eddy talks to her. She loves him so much already!
FOOD CRAVINGS: Still chewing on ice. And I'm back to loving avocado sandwiches. YUM!
STILL SICK: Nope
SYMPTOMS: Lots of Braxton Hicks, restless legs, and painful hips. I was at the gym the other night and totally thought I saw my first stretch mark. I asked friends, showed Eddy and they all thought I was crazy. So apparently it wasn't a stretch mark. But I know they're coming any day now.
GENDER: Girl! I was thrown a wonderful baby shower and Lizzy made out like a bandit. Pics below...
MOOD: Happy, nervous, emotional. I cry at a drop of a hat for no reason at all. I'll cry for a minute and then start laughing cause I realize how crazy I am. Pregnancy is no joke!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Of course meeting our little Mann but I'm excited for the breastfeeding and child birthing classes I'm signed up to take in a couple weeks. It will be nice to tour the L&D floor and see where all the magic is going to happen.

My friend Shelby Tubbs held a baby shower Sat January 19, 2013 at her house. Considering I've only been here for a year I thought not many people would show. But about 25 women came and did a great job of making me feel special. We played some games (Candy Bar game - ex: guess what milky way would stand for, Song game - ex: name the title and artist of a song that had Baby in the title, and there was a diaper raffle - ex: bring a bag of diapers and your name goes in a bucket to win a gift card). I had a blast! The women out here are all so crafty that alot of the gifts I got were homemade. Here's a few pics of the decorations, food, and wonderful gifts.

Shelby made this as part of the decorations. I thought it was so cute. I especially loved it because Eddy and I are HUGE on scrabble but she didn't even know that. I will definitely be putting this in Lizzy's room
Not sure if you can read it but Shelby made this banner that says Elizabeth Laura. Again, I'll be hanging this in Lizzy's room. So cute!

The food was great! Blueberry muffins, donut hole trees, fruit, yogurt parfaits in baby food jars, no bake cookies, and a bacon, hashbrown, cheese, omelet thing. Sorry...don't know the official name for that dish but it was amazing!
Just a few of the ladies that came
See how excited I am to open the gifts. haha
If you know me, you know I'm in this Owl obsession. So you can see how happy I was to get this blanket. I can't explain it...I just think they are the cutest things right now!!!
Melanie made this quilt. I thought it was so sweet of her to make me one. She just had a baby at 33 weeks so she had alot on her plate...but still found the time to make this for me.
Shelby made a nursing cover. I'm in love with the cute flower bunch she added at the top
Burp cloths made by Shelby
You can't see but this Vans box is filled with handmade headbands with flowers on them. So cute!!!
Car seat cover. Two velcro straps at the top make it easy to take off and put back on.
Winnie blanket.
I LOVED this gift. Of course I loved every gift but I thought this was just too cute. A onesie that says "Mann made". I will definitely be putting Lizzy in this as her going home outfit from the hospital.
There were other gifts but unfortunately we didn't get pics of all of them. But like I said before...Lizzy is for sure set when she arrives. It was a great party!!! I wish that my friends and family from other states (CA, UT, AL) could have made it so I could've shared this special day with them. That is the biggest downfall with living away from home.

33 weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 33 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 30 lbs. – 193 total. I’m so nervous for when I see the number 200 on the scale. That’s really going to freak me out!!!!
SLEEP: NOT AT ALL! Ugh! I can’t find a comfortable position. I lay on one side but then 5 minutes later my hip hurts like crazy. So I turn to the other side but in the process I’m out of breath and also realize I have to pee. This goes on ALL NIGHT LONG. People weren’t kidding when they said this was the “uncomfortable” trimester.
MOVEMENT: I don’t feel as many kicks but instead just wiggling. I’m sure she’s running out of room in there. It still amazes me when I see her bum or leg pop out of my side or by my ribs. It still reminds me of the scene from Aliens. But I could watch it all day long…it makes me smile.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Nothing in particular (aside from Ice). I can’t eat as much in one sitting so I try to eat smaller meals throughout the day. When I forget and totally mow on a meal, I’m extremely uncomfortable for about an hour and end up making these loud, long burps. Another wonderful, sexy side effect to pregnancy.
STILL SICK: Nope
SYMPTOMS: I’ve officially felt the Braxton Hicks. They freaked me out at first. I just thought Lizzy was extending all her limbs in every which direction. But when I told my friends what I was feeling, they informed me it was the lovely BH. I thought they would hurt more but instead they are just super uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seems to be my word of choice in this post. I can’t stress it enough…
GENDER: Girl! We finally made our move to our new home and I’m slowly working on the nursery. Eddy put together her bassinet on Saturday and I was able to hang up most of her clothes. As soon as I put everything together I’ll take some pics. But I’m slow…so this probably won’t happen till after she’s born
MOOD: So extremely happy! We have a new home that I’ve been having so much fun decorating! But I have to add nervous too. Since I’m getting so close to delivery I’m starting to freak out when I think of labor.
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Finally meeting this little munchkin!

I have to add my major pregnancy psycho moment this past week…
Eddy was promoted to Specialist (YAY!) and they wanted to give him a ceremony. So he told me that on Friday at 1530 I should come to his company so I can be the one to pin him. Unfortunately my phone broke about a week ago and I haven’t taken it in to get it fixed. Friday afternoon I decided to get some things done so I left the house at noon. Apparently the commander decided last minute that he wanted to let everyone go home early and have the ceremony at 1300 instead. But Eddy had no way of contacting me and even tried driving around to try and find me. I pull up to his company right at 1530 and he runs out to the car. “Where have you been?!?! I’ve been trying to find you for hours. Everyone is waiting on us. We were supposed to have the ceremony at 1300. But everyone was stuck here waiting for you to show up!” As I was getting out of my car and waddling (yes, waddling) to the door…I just started balling. I tried so hard to make it stop but it just kept getting worse. In the midst of my crying I was trying to say, “I didn’t know. I’m sorry. Does everyone hate me? Are they all mad at me? You can’t talk to me like this when I’m pregnant!!!” But it all came out as a jumbled mess. I ended up going to the bathroom sobbing and making everyone wait another 10 minutes so I could compose myself. Eddy felt so bad and never meant to make me cry. I’m pretty sure I freaked him out big time since I haven’t done anything like that this whole pregnancy. After the ceremony on the way home we laughed so hard about the situation that it brought us BOTH to tears. Awww..the joys of pregnancy emotions
