31 weeks

It's been a couple weeks since I took a picture...I seem to be getting worse at this every week thing. But alot did happen in December. I got sick...again! A bad cold that went into my lungs and lingered for about 2 weeks. Ugh! We also took a trip out to California to see my family. My brother and his wife just had another little boy...Nathan Arlo Washburn. He is sooooo cute. I got to hold him (after I wasn't so sick) and snuggle with him for a couple days. It was heaven. Here's one of my favorites of him...
Just looking at this little guy gets me that more excited for Lizzy. So stinkin cute!!!
We stayed one night at my brothers and then the rest at my moms. It was nice to be with family and spend a little time with friends. As always, the trip was way too short.
On another note...my mom gave me a sewing machine for my Christmas/Birthday gift. I am so beyond excited to use it. I have all these grand ideas now that I'm going to magically turn into Martha Stewart or whoever is amazing and crafty and make a million adorable outfits for Lizzy as well as a baby blanket or two. I'm waiting until we move into our new home to start all this magic...but wish me luck!
HOW FAR ALONG: 31 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 25 lbs. – 188 total. This last appt with my doctor she actually complimented me on slowing down on the weight gain. I was shocked! I expected another lecture from her like last time. I still have 2 months to go and I’m sure I’ll be packing on the weight even more so towards the end. But it was nice to hear kind words from her
SLEEP: Lots of it! Napping, going to bed early…I definitely feel like I’m sleeping more than ever before. I still have to get up a few times a night to pee but I fall right back to sleep and I’m down for the count.
MOVEMENT: She rolls all the time and it’s the weirdest feeling. I’m so used to seeing her bum or head stick out on one side like a clip from the movie Aliens.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Nothing in particular. Still chewing on lots of ice. I started drinking a protein shake in the morning and I get so excited for it…chocolate, peanut butter, and banana. Mmmmmmmm. I want one right now
STILL SICK: Nope
SYMPTOMS: I noticed the days that I don’t do my walks are the days that I have restless legs at night. So I make sure to exercise every day just so I can sleep well. But that’s also probably the reason why I’m so tired ALL the time. Catch 22 I guess. But I’ll take the tiredness over restless legs any day.
GENDER: Girl! Lizzy got so many cute things for Christmas like the outfit we’re going to take her home from the hospital in, a boppy, my diaper bag, her shoes for the blessing, and some fun toys…just to name a few. Thanks to everyone for being so generous during the holiday season. We really appreciate all the cute things!!!!
MOOD: Happy happy happy!!!! We move in just a couple weeks and only 2 months till we meet our Lizzy love.
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Everything this New Year will bring…new home, new baby, new adventures! I can’t wait

28 weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 28 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 17+ - haven’t officially weighed myself. But I’ll know at my next appt.
SLEEP: Apparently I’m starting to snore. Eddy said this past week I was like a bear. I know I’m SUPER tired by the time bedtime rolls around but I didn’t know it was so bad that I was snoring. Man, pregnancy is so sexy isn’t it?!?!?
MOVEMENT: She’s become more active during the day. Usually it’s early in the morning or right before bed that I can feel her doing aerobics. But this past week she was raving it up around noon as well. I swear she’s going to come out with legwarmers on or holding glow sticks. She’s extremely energetic.
FOOD CRAVINGS: ICE! ICE! ICE! I crunch on ice like there’s no tomorrow. I don’t even know if you can call this a craving. I don’t know what you would call it. But I can’t get enough. Sometimes I even steal Eddy’s ice from his cup when we go out to eat. It’s ridiculous.
STILL SICK: Nope! And so happy I’m not!!!
SYMPTOMS: Just sleepy. I’m back to fighting the droopy eyelids. I’m ready to go to bed by like 5pm and have to fight with myself every night to make sure I don’t lie down. Baking a human takes so much energy.
GENDER: Girl! I may or may not have bought her 10 more outfits this week. I’m addicted and need to start going to meetings. Her closet is officially bigger than mine.
MOOD: Happy. I’m in the third trimester and can see the finish line!!!!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Christmas, moving, and meeting this little energizer bunny. These next 12 weeks better fly by!

27 weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 27 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 15 lbs. – 178 total. I got a lecture from my doctor that I need to slow down on the weight gain. I told her I’m enjoying this pregnancy, I walk every day, and I feel great. So in so many words, I said suck it! She wasn’t very happy with me by the end of the appt and wasn’t very friendly like she normally is. That’s what happens when you tell a pregnant, emotional woman that she needs to slow down. LOL!
SLEEP: Still peeing A LOT during the night and fell in the toilet once when Eddy forgot to put the seat down. Yeah, that was a fun night!
MOVEMENT: I’m starting to feel a weird sensation like she’s gliding her elbow or hand along the inside of my stomach. It’s hard to describe but is super weird. It makes me jump every time she does it.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Still chewing on ice and I can’t get enough of carbs.
STILL SICK: Luckily not this week. I was free from any sickness at all…thank goodness
SYMPTOMS: The pain on my right side, restless legs every night, and round ligament pain (mostly on my left side).
GENDER: Girl! My mom sent me some cute Ugg boots for her for when she’s probably about 12 months old. I can’t WAIT to wear mine and have her wear hers. I’m totally going to be that mom that coordinates outfits with her daughter. Totally cheesy but I just can’t help myself.
MOOD: Extremely happy! I’m almost in my third trimester. Woo hoo!!!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Moving. Eddy signed the papers and we move in mid Jan. Of course I’ll be 8 months pregnant and ready to pop soon but I’ll finally get to start on the nursery. Better late than never right?!?!

26 weeks

I've been horrible with posting pics but I'm going to try and catch up today. So much has happened since Halloween. I got the stomach flu 3 times, went back to the hospital for dehydration, took a marriage retreat with Eddy to Cloudcroft New Mexico with the Army, and spent a fabulous Thanksgiving with Eddy's parents (thanks again for making the trip Mom and Dad!!!). Thanksgiving was great. We spent it at the Tubb's house since they were in town as well and ate our hearts out. I made my favorite dish - Sweet Pot Casserole. It's the recipe from Ruth Chris Steakhouse and it's AH-MAZING! Just google the recipe and I promise you won't be sorry. Unfortunately I didn't take weekly pics during all this fun so it skips from Halloween to Thanksgiving.
HOW FAR ALONG: 26 WEEKS
WEIGHT GAIN: 12 lbs. – 175 total. I’ve never weighed this much in my life so I sort of freaked out when I saw that number on the scale. It’s only going to go up from here so I better get used to high numbers.
SLEEP: I get up at least 5 times a night to pee. It’s starting to get hard finding a comfortable position and switching positions almost puts me out of breath. Not to mention the restless legs. So sleep isn’t the best right now.
MOVEMENT: I swear she’s doing aerobics in there and getting stronger every day with her kicks. But I love it!
FOOD CRAVINGS: Ice…and lots of it. I chew on ice all day, every day.
STILL SICK: Having the stomach flu 3 times really put me in a depressed mood for a while. I felt like I was back in my first trimester. But luckily each time I got the flu it never lasted more than 4 days.
SYMPTOMS: I get a pain on my right side at the top of my belly. Apparently Lizzy loves hanging out only on my right side so it pulls on those muscles and gives me a burning feeling…like an indian burn on those muscles. I noticed too that you can tell she loves the right side because my stomach looks deformed with my right side sticking out further than my left. It’s funny…
GENDER: Girl! We got her car seat and jogging stroller delivered and I can’t wait to use it!
MOOD: So happy to meet this little girl but so over being pregnant. I really hope these last few weeks go by fast!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Christmas and moving into our new home. It’s taking housing forever so I have no clue when that will finally happen but hopefully soon.
